To partner the regulator, members of the association and other stakeholders to creating innovative foreign exchange industry in Ghana.



Our Mission


GAFORB, is the Ghana Association of Forex Bureaux whose mission is to be the unified voice of all foreign exchange bureaux in Ghana. To serve the interest of the foreign exchange bureaux industry through compliance with Foreign Exchange Regulatory Polices and Guidelines; represent, defend and promote the interest of members; promote the development of the industry through innovation, provide value-adding information, efficient and professional services to stakeholders.


What We Do



The Ghana Association of Forex Bureaux (GAFORB) is a legal entity limited by guarantee, established in 1988 with the primary object to represent the interest of its stakeholders in the foreign exchange bureaux industry in Ghana. More importantly, GAFORB exist:



To provide a central organisation, uniting foreign exchange bureaux in Ghana for honest and efficient service to the public, through high standards of professional conducts and practices.

To provide a united front in making recommendations to the Bank of Ghana on matters, related to the foreign exchange market.

To provide a forum for compliance with the Bank of Ghana guidelines on the foreign exchange bureaux issues and for dealing with other matters, related to the industry.

To co-operate with and foster cordial working relations with the Bank of Ghana, Commercial Banks and other Financial Institutions.

To promote the interests and welfare of members, establish rapport business relations among members.

To organise training for members where necessary and;

To publish or disseminate relevant information through such means as bulletins, seminars, workshops, lectures and the mass media for the education of members of the Association and the general public.
